I am a newlywed, physician assistant, baker, cook, skiier, scrapbooker, and wanna-be crafter. I work in labor and delivery, and get to experience the miracle of bringing babies into the world every single day. Nothing warms my heart more than getting to witness the first time a mother sees her child. When I’m not working crazy hours at the hospital, I’m in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. Eating wholesome, mostly organic, nutritious food is important to my husband and I, so I am always looking for recipes to replace any processed food that we typically buy. Growing up, my mom did pretty well in the kitchen, but it was really my Italian grandparents who inspired me and taught me how to cook from scratch. My grandpa used to scoff at my mom when she would make a cake from a boxed mix, and now I know why – homemade is so much better!
